New Connect Updates: Adding a virtual tax business
After reviewing parts of Connect and conversations with many of our users, we've decided to implement some changes. We wanted to improve the experience for your clients (make it much simpler), and at the same time, create a better workflow for you, the tax preparer.
Easier Experience For Taxpayers
In order to appeal to a broader audience, we implemented a more modern and simple design. Connect is just like adding your own virtual tax business, so we wanted to represent your brand with a more engaging feel.
Our biggest update is how the user interacts with your app. In this updated flow, users will be able to pre-fill their information using their ID, quickly upload their tax documents, and submit their return in minutes. We've decreased the amount of work they need to do to send their information to the tax preparer.

Upload Multiple Documents With Signature
In our previous version of Connect, we only supported the signing of the 8879 (users could only sign one document). Because many tax preparers require their clients to sign multiple documents, we wanted to create implement an experience that allows them to do that. Similar to DocuSign, you will be able to attach any of your documents and indicate where your clients will need to sign.
Once you request their signature (you can do this from within the Dashboard), your client will receive a push notification to sign the documents you uploaded. As soon as they open the document, they will be able to sign the documents where you indicated.
Add Connect To Your Website
Along with having taxpayers download the app, tax preparers will also be able to add Connect to their website. If you have a website, you will be able to add a page that will allow taxpayers to create an account and submit their tax information directly to you.
Adding Connect to your website will help you convert more visitors that reach your site (very easy access to do their taxes with you directly), and it's also a very simple way of letting them know what to do. Imagine how fun and simple it would be to say:
"Hey Jackie, go to my website, click on "Start My Return", and once you're done, I'll start working on it.
